The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the City Council of Cerdanyola del Vallès have published the full video of the 2025 Literary Awards ceremony, held on May 30 at the UAB Theatre Hall. The video features the highlights of the event, including speeches by institutional representatives and the awarding of the prizes to the winning works of the 16th Caterina Albert Short Story Award for Young Writers, the 30th Miquel Martí i Pol Poetry Award, and the 31st Valldaura–Pere Calders Memorial Novel Award.

The 84th edition of the Fira del Llibre de Madrid will be held from 30 May to 15 June. The Servei de Publicacions de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona is exhibiting some of its new publications for the 2024-2025 academic year at the stand of the Unión de Editoriales Universitarias Españolas (UNE).

On Tuesday 27 May at 7 p.m., the auditorium of the Ateneo Sant Cugat will host the presentation of the book ‘Feminismo no se sexismo. Conversations on gender and inequality’, by María Jesús Izquierdo, PhD in Economics and retired lecturer at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), and Marc Barbeta-Viñas, lecturer in Sociology at the UAB.

The deadline for entries for the literary prizes, organised annually by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the Cerdanyola del Vallès Town Council, closed in February. This year, a total of 162 original works have been submitted, of which, after reviewing the performance of the rules, 51 have been shortlisted for the novel prize, 53 for the poetry prize and 43 for the short story prize. The jury's decision will be announced on 16 May at the University Theatre.

The Publications Service of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) will soon be present at two events in the publishing sector: the 60th edition of the Valencia Book Fair and the 43rd Granada Book Fair. The former will take place from 24 April to 4 May and the latter from 9 to 18 May.
