The Publications Service of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) presents the book Camí de Marina, by Laura Serrat, the winning work of the 6th UAB Literary Journalism Award. The event will take place on Monday, April 13, at 7:00 p.m., at the Documenta Bookstore in Barcelona (Pau Claris, 144, 08009 Barcelona).

The sixth prize was awarded last November in a ceremony held at the Faculty of Communication Sciences. Since 2025, the award has been organized by the Master’s in Literary Journalism, Communication, and Humanities at the UAB, in collaboration with the Publications Service, with the aim of recognizing unpublished literary reportage and documentary literature works in Catalan.

Camí de Marina offers a non-fiction narrative with a literary perspective, focusing on the life experience of Daniel, a shepherd from Baix Camp who undertakes an exceptional transhumance with his flock along the camí ramader de Marina, a millenary route that is nearly forgotten.

The work will be included in the new «Periodisme Literari» collection and will be available in both print and digital formats. With this publication, the publisher contributes to knowledge transfer and cultural dissemination from the university to society, aligning its work with the institution’s mission.

The book presentation will feature the author, Laura Serrat; the story’s protagonist, Daniel Giraldo; and the master’s program coordinator, David Vidal.
